The symposium ‘Global Challenges in relation to photography, contemporary art and social media’ unfolds a variety of positions within photojournalism, documentary and contemporary art and is part of the International Photo Biennale in Denmark, 2016.

The programme includes speakers from various international photography practices including Mette Sandbye, (University of Copenhagen, Denmark), Fred Ritchin (ICP, USA), Louise Wolthers (Hasselblad Foundation, Sweden), Sunil Gupta (India), Irina Chmyreva (PhotoVista, Russia) Christian Danielewitz/Anu Ramdas (Denmark) and John Fleetwood (Photo:, South Africa). Peter Ole Pedersen (Denmark) is the opponent for the symposium.
